Before you book

Booking and payment

A reservation is confirmed when it has been accepted by Ice Events ehf and, where applicable, payment has been completed through the booking calendar. Your booking confirmation contains the specific date, time, price and cancellation deadline for your reservation.

Please check the confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if any detail is incorrect. Private departures, lessons, accommodation and larger groups may have arrangements that differ from open tour departures.

Changing plans

Cancellation and changes

Cancellation and change requests must be sent to info@iceevents.is. The cancellation terms shown in your booking confirmation or booking calendar apply to that reservation. Any refund is made to the original payment method where possible.

If you arrive after the agreed departure time, the group may already have left and the visit may not be able to go ahead. Late arrival and no-show charges follow the terms of the booking.

Weather and welfare

Safety comes first

Icelandic weather can change quickly. We ride in normal rain, wind, sun and snow, but Ice Events ehf may postpone, change or cancel an activity when conditions are unsafe for visitors, guides or horses. We will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative arrangement or refund according to the applicable booking terms.

Visitors must follow the guide's instructions and tell us about relevant medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy or previous riding experience before the activity begins. We may adjust the horse, route or activity when needed for safety and horse welfare.

Please help protect the horses

Equipment and conduct

Do not bring used or uncleaned riding equipment, boots or riding clothing into Iceland. Equipment can carry infectious diseases that are dangerous to Icelandic horses and other animals. Follow the farm's hygiene instructions before arrival.

Treat the horses, staff, other guests and the farm with care. Ice Events ehf may refuse participation or end an activity when conduct creates a safety or welfare risk.
