Country ride (2 hour)
Perfect for riders with little experience 

​All tours can be booked private at different times than our open departures

​From the instructions in the riding hall we ride out into the Icelandic landscape for a ride which focuses on experiencing the tölt in nature. We ride many of the roads we use to train our own horses, which lend themselves for tölting a lot. We always have the mountains in the background and on a clear day we can even see the Westman Islands. 

This ride is for the rider with little to no experience, who wants a longer tour to get to know the Icelandic horse and its special gait tölt at a steady and comfortable pace. If you like space, views, and good riding roads this is the tour for you. Depending on speed we will ride between 1,5 and 2 hours. You have also a chance to look round the stable and enjoy a hot drink in our stable café after the ride.

• Requirement of min. 2 riders, when booking an open departure

We're having a minimum age from 10 years
​And a maximum weight 110 kg / 242lbs

Please be at Skeiðvellir 10 minutes before the booked departure time. Note that if you arrive later than departure time, the tour might have already left. ​

Looking for a private experience?
This ride can also be booked separately from the open departure times as a private departure. Price per person for a private tour is 26.000 ISK.
