For those who are coming back for a day tour and would like a different route, or those who really want to lose themselves out in nature, this is our second day tour route.  This ride takes us through contrasting landscapes along the river, through sand and lava and past the mountain. We will meet sheep, probably horses and very few people. We will ride much of this tour on sheep tracks and sometimes the tracks may even seem absent. 

As in many of our rides we will have great views of Hekla on the way too.  This ride gives you a chance to enjoy the vast Icelandic landscape and its silence. Sometimes as we ride through the grassy valley you may even lose sight for a moment of those in front of you.

*Requirements to participate in this tour: 

• You need to be an experienced rider and ride regularly
• You need to be able to and comfortable with managing the horse in all different gaits and at all speeds
• You need to be fit and healthy for a 5 hour ride
• You need to be able to mount and dismount on your own
