Katrín Sigurðardóttir, the daughter of Sigurður Sæmundsson, has been born and raised around horses. Both of her parents were professional in the training and breeding world of the Icelandic horses and Katrín herself has ridden, competed and trained horses all of her life. Among others she is the winner of Suðurlandsmot 2019 in T3, rider of the year 2019 in sport by Geysír and has had many years of successful competing in several different classes and leagues. Over the years of her adult life, she has started to teach more and more and are now doing lessons and seminars both in Iceland and abroad. She takes regular seminars herself to ensure her development as a rider and continues to observe and learn more about teaching the techniques of riding.
